Britain’s Got Talent’s rookie judges David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre have plunged the show into controversy – by saying Scotland’s got NO talent.

After visiting Glasgow for auditions for this year’s series, The Hoff moaned the acts were so bad he couldn’t understand what they were doing on stage.

Hoff, 58, said: “I didn’t have a clue what they were trying to do. I didn’t understand a word they said.”

And stand-up comic Michael, 35, added: “The acts weren’t great. The audience were restless and chanted ‘cheerio, cheerio’ when they didn’t like an act – that was chanted a lot.

“Susan Boyle blew everyone away when she auditioned in Glasgow but that won’t happen this year.”

Even Amanda Holden, 40, admitted that this year’s winner is unlikely to come from North of the Border: “We had great fun up there… in the hotel in the evening,” she joked.

The comments will hurt Scots especially as the show’s greatest success story is Susan Boyle. After coming second in 2009, she sold nine million copies of her debut album and the 50-year-old from Blackburn, West Lothian, is now thought to be worth over £11million.

Even before the Scotland gaffe, The Hoff, who has taken over from Simon Cowell on a £500,000 per year deal, raised eyebrows by saying: “My act would be a dancing willy! No, no, no running in slow motion” when asked to describe what he would do if he had to audition for BGT.

But aside from Glasgow and genitals, former Baywatch star Hoff said at yesterday’s official BGT launch that overall the talent was as good as in the States, where he worked on America’s Got Talent.

“Each city has its own atmosphere. It’s more fun here than the States,” he said.

“Most of the talent was young and heartwarming. We are excited for the final because we have such a diverse show.”

But despite this Hoff, who is dating Welsh model Hayley Roberts, 31, hinted that Simon Cowell may not like what he sees in the final.

VICE girl who had a threesome with Wayne Rooney also slept with a married “world-famous” actor – but has been banned from revealing his identity.

The leading actor, who has appeared in films and on TV, was granted a gagging order on the revelations at the weekend.

Prostitute Helen Wood, 24, was yesterday named after a High Court judge lifted a ban on revealing HER identity.

Mr Justice King ruled that nothing should be published which would identify the actor.

However, he said he would not prohibit publication of the fact that Wood “had a sexual relationship with a leading actor and/or a world-famous celebrity, who is married and is a father”. The actor is identified only by the initials NEJ.

Rooney had sex with Wood and her friend Jennifer Thompson in a five-star Manchester hotel in 2009.

The Manchester United star slept with the two prostitutes while his wife Coleen was pregnant with his son Kai.

Single mum Wood, from Bolton, Lancs, said at the time that it was a “mistake” and she “wished it had never happened”.

Catherine Zeta Jones has received treatment for bipolar disorder after dealing with the stress of her husband's battle with throat cancer.

Zeta Jones, 41, made a decision to check into a "mental health facility" for a brief stay, said her publicist.

Michael Douglas, who was diagnosed last year, said in January his tumour had gone and he was beating the disease.

Last September, Zeta Jones said she was "furious" that doctors failed to detect the cancer earlier.

Bipolar, also known as manic depression, causes severe mood swings, that usually last several weeks or months.

Zeta Jones's publicist Cece Yorke said the actress sought treatment for the condition following the stress of her husband's cancer fight.

"After dealing with the stress of the past year, Catherine made the decision to check in to a mental health facility for a brief stay to treat her bipolar II disorder," said Yorke.

"She's feeling great and looking forward to starting work this week on her two upcoming films."

It is unclear when Zeta Jones, who is from Swansea, was diagnosed with bipolar disorder or where she received treatment.

Pregnant Mel B has hinted that she could replace Cheryl
Cole on The X Factor.

The Girls Aloud star, 27, is expected to quit the ITV show to take up a judging role on the US version of the programme.

When asked on Heart radio if she'll be filling in for Cheryl over here, Mel said: 'Maybe.'

But Scary Spice was quick to backtrack when she realised she'd said too much.

'I'm in so much trouble, why did I do this interview?' she said. 'I don't talk about anything unless it's ready to go.'

Earlier in the radio interview, Mel, 35, cryptically revealed she'd be moving back to the UK from Hollywood.

This prompted host Jamie Theakston to steer the conversation to the subject of The X Factor job.

Mel and husband Stephen Belafonte, 35, are currently expecting their first child together.

She is already mum to Phoenix Chi, 12, with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar, and Angel, 3, with Eddie Murphy.

Keira Knightley is dating Klaxons star James Righton, according to reports.

The pair are said to have begun seeing each other after being introduced by mutual friend, TV presenter Alexa Chung.

A source told the Daily Mirror that the Pirates Of The Caribbean star, who split from long term boyfriend Rupert Friend earlier this year, is “extremely happy” with her new man.

“He’s a real rocker and a lovely guy with it and she likes that whole scene – lately she’s become far more rock and roll and has been hanging out with a really trendy crowd,” the source added.
Klaxons released this second album 'Surfing The Void' last year.

Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh are needed on the X Factor panel

Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh are needed on the X Factor panel, according to former contestant Mary Byrne.
Music mogul Simon is rumoured to be giving up his judge's seat on the reality talent competition to focus on the launch of the US version, but the Irish singer reckoned it just wouldn't be the same without him.
Mary said: "He's going to be sadly missed this year, Simon, if he's not with Louis. It's probably not going to happen this year, but Simon is the main man."
Asked what the different judges - Dannii Minogue, Cheryl Cole and Louis - bring to the panel, she added: "Dannii is a strong woman. Cheryl has her emotions and we need that.
"Louis can shed a tear, be totally honest and brutal, yet kind. He brings a mixture of all the others in himself on the panel. I genuinely think without Louis on that panel, it just didn't look right."
Mary, whose debut album Mine And Yours is out now, enjoys the chemistry between Simon and Louis, and hopes both will return for the next series.
"When him and Simon get together, watch the sparks fly. It's unbelievable. They're such good friends, but when they're bickering with each other, it's exciting," she said.
"I hope they will return. I don't think the show would be the same if the two of them went. It'd be hard enough without Simon. I love that show. I can't wait for the next series," she added.

DAVID Hasselhoff has been dating a blonde nearly half his age he met while filming Britain's Got Talent.

DAVID Hasselhoff has been dating a blonde nearly half his age he met while filming Britain's Got Talent.
The ex-Baywatch star, 58, has been seeing Hayley Roberts, 31, for three months.
Factory worker and part-time model Hayley caught the Hoff's eye in Cardiff.
And the star has been a regular visitor to her mum's home in Glynneath, near Swansea.

Sam Wardley, boss of the Bay View restaurant in Swansea, was stunned when he came in.

She said: "He said his girlfriend was from Glynneath and he'd come to see her."

JEREMY Clarkson faced the fury of his wife yesterday after allegations he cheated with a racy blonde.

And a pro-wrestling transvestite has also threatened to knock out the under-fire telly star.

The motormouth dad-of-three faced claims that he enjoyed romps with a pretty colleague while on the show’s globe-trotting live tour.

Jeremy Clarkson, 50, was yesterday fighting to save his marriage again, 11 years after he was accusing of cheating with another colleague.

His wife of 18 years Frances, also his manager, was said to be devastated about the new claims that he had been having a relationship with the tanned 42-year-old for months.

The pair were said to have spent several nights together in Australia, South Africa and Norway, while Frances stayed at the family home in the Cotswolds to run his office.

Last month, Clarkson and the unnamed blonde jetted to Hamilton Island, a luxury resort near Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, where they stayed in a £1,000-a-night villa.

Insiders said their relationship was common knowledge to the crew working on the BBC Top Gear Live tour.

But Clarkson laughed off the claims, saying it was simply a case of “colleagues fooling around”.

Jezza’s wife Frances helped transform him into one of the UK’s highest-paid TV stars.

She sprung to her husband’s defence in 2000 when he was snapped kissing his former BBC boss Elaine Bedell in the street.

Frances, 49, insisted: “It’s simple. They work together, they’re matey.”

Clarkson, who recently moaned about feeling “lonely” on tour, recently described his wife as his rock.

And he famously punched Piers Morgan, 46, at the 2004 Press Awards for accusing him of playing away.

The latest Top Gear drama came after the BBC was forced to apologise over co-host Richard Hammond, 41, calling Mexicans “lazy, feckless, flatulent and overweight”.

We can reveal that the insult did not go down well with Mexico’s star transvestite wrestler Cassandro, 45, who vowed to make him pay.

The current World Lightweight Champion said: “I can guarantee you Clarkson has never met anyone like me.

“If he wants to know what Mexico is really like, I’ll show him in five minutes.

“I’ll make him squeal like a big girl. He will be begging me to stop.

“It will take only one Mexican against all three of them using only junior moves.”

The grappler made the challenge as his group Lucha Future planned its UK tour, which is due to start in May.

Last night Clarkson’s personal spokesman was unavailable and the BBC refused to comment.

There was no sign of the TV star at his Cotswolds house, near Chipping Norton, Oxon.
